Teens & the Digital World: Sextortion and Online Safety

This teen-focused session covers real risks students face online—sextortion, harassment, impersonation, privacy mistakes, and online pressure that can escalate quickly. 13+
We’ll discuss how to spot manipulation, protect accounts and devices, set boundaries, save evidence, and get help without panic or shame.
Students will leave with practical safety steps, trusted reporting pathways, and local support resources.

White Oaks Branch
Located within White Oaks Secondary School in central Oakville, the White Oaks Branch is home to a large collection of titles, study spaces, and a large lounge area. The branch hosts a variety of programs for all ages, with a particular focus on family programs. Parking is free.
