A Guide to Oakville Public Library's Local Collections

Have you ever wondered what stories are hidden within Oakville Public Library's Local Collections? Ages 18+

Join the Library's Local Collections Librarian for a tour of the resources that document Oakville's rich history. Beginning with a brief introduction to the history of the Library and its role in preserving local heritage, this session will explore the unique materials available in the Oakville Room, including photographs, newspapers, maps, family histories and other historical records.

You'll also learn how to access local history and genealogy resources through OPL's catalogue and digital collections. Whether you're tracing your family tree, researching a property, or simply curious about Oakville's past, this program will introduce you to the tools and collections that can help you uncover local stories.
