Join us for a group-directed discussion where participants are free to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences about death in a respectful and relaxed environment. 18+
At a Death Café, people come together to engage in open conversations about death. This unique gathering aims to normalize discussions about death, increasing awareness to help individuals make the most of their finite lives.
This group is facilitated in partnership with Holding Space Halton and Home Hospice Association and provides a welcoming space for these open-ended conversations. There are no formal agendas, objectives, or themes—just an opportunity to explore death as a natural part of life, reflect on personal perspectives, and connect with others over a topic that is often overlooked or misunderstood.
Participants are welcome to bring their own refreshment (coffee or tea) to enjoy during the discussion.
The Death Café movement, founded by Jon Underwood, has grown globally, offering communities a chance to engage with this essential conversation. You can find more details about this Death Cafe, as well as the global Death Café movement, at the Death Cafe website.
Death Cafés are not grief support groups. If you are currently experiencing grief, please reach out to organizations like Bereaved Families of Ontario or local private practices that can offer the support you need.
