Join us as we kick off Ontario Public Library Week with a special visit from Olympian silver medalist, Maya Meschkuleit!
In this inspiring talk, the Canadian athlete will share her Olympic experience, reflect on how her time at public libraries helped shape her path to success, and display her silver medal.
Meschkuleit recently represented Canada in rowing at the Paris 2024 Olympics. She spent many of her childhood days at public libraries and is now returning to her roots to share her incredible journey and highlight how libraries are not just places for books - they are lifelong spaces that nurture creativity, learning, and aspirations.
After her talk, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions, take photos with Meschkuleit, and even hold her silver medal.
Whether you're an aspiring athlete or just curious about the life of a Canadian Olympian, this event promises to inspire and motivate you to pursue your goals, whatever they may be!
