Join us for this virtual presentation that will introduce you to the basics of working with DNA as part of your family history research. Ages 18+

In this session, Mags will cover everything you need to get started working DNA into you genealogical limbs: Why to test, where to test, how to find others to test, how to talk them into testing, how to organize your DNA and work with your results. Matching to others and figuring out how you connect is the secret to moving your research forward and will be covered as well.

Mags Gaulden is a professional genealogist and a sought-after international speaker specializing in genetic genealogy. She started Grandma's Genes, her genealogy consultation business, in 2016 and is based in Ottawa, Ontario.
She is a founder of mitoYDNA.org, a leader at WikiTree, a member of both the Association of Professional Genealogists and the International Society of Genetic Genealogy, just to name a few of her affiliations.
Her passion for family history, combined with her expertise in genetics and genealogy, has helped many people uncover their family histories and connect with their roots.
