Families, if your child would benefit from additional math practice before the start of this school year, sign up for the "OPL Back 2 School Math Camp!"
This program runs from Monday August 21st to Friday August 25th.
This program is structured to meet the needs of all math learners. Using culturally responsive and relevant pedagogy (CRRP) in combination with differentiated instruction, learners will complete diagnostic assessments at the beginning of the week. This assessment data will structure the learning to meet the needs of each individual. The structure of the learning will be based in collaborative group inquiry and develop a growth mindset, encouraging daily learning and improvement. This leads to the filling in of learning gaps in prior math knowledge and skills. While, at the same time, learners experience new math concepts and ideas from the destreamed grade 9 math and later, secondary math curricula.
Registration is required.

Located within White Oaks Secondary School in central Oakville, the White Oaks Branch is home to a large collection of titles, study spaces, and a large lounge area. The branch hosts a variety of programs for all ages, with a particular focus on family programs. Parking is free.
