Create, engage and share! In partnership with Oakville Galleries, join us for an artistic journey through different art movements and styles each week with an art tutorial and added story.
Young artists will stretch their thinking and develop skills while having a blast at home. This is a special opportunity for developing young, creative minds. Make your own art studio at home – a cozy corner, a sunny window seat or a comfortable table and chair. Oakville Galleries staff member Erica’s weekly art classes will be paired with a story and literacy connection from staff at Oakville Public Library.
Week 3: Impressionism & Colour
Let’s explore a world of colour as kids are introduced to impressionism and artists such as Claude Monet. This workshop will include a colouring activity teaching blending and shading colours to capture a landscape scene outside our windows or in our imaginations. The second-half of the workshop will include stories connecting to the theme of the day.
This program is for ages 4-7 years.
