Maker Meetup: Parents and Caregivers
Friday, June 26
10:00am - 12:00pm
Glen Abbey Branch
Creation ZoneBring a project to work on, share ideas, or simply connect with others in a relaxed, creative space. Open to all experience levels. Ages 18+ (infants in arms, carriers, or strollers are welcome)
Join fellow makers, creatives, and curious community members for casual themed meetups in the Creation Zone. Each session explores a different topic, interest, or creative prompt—from repair and reuse to textile arts, scrap projects, digital fabrication, and more.
Maker Meetups are community-focused gatherings rather than formal instructional classes. Participants are encouraged to work independently, collaborate, and learn from one another. Limited staff guidance is available, and equipment may be used independently based on staff capacity and equipment availability.
Session Theme: This session celebrates parent and caregiver makers. Bring a creative project, craft, repair, or work-in-progress to share and explore with others. We welcome babies in arms, carriers, or strollers, however the program is adult-focused and not designed for children.
