This Asian Heritage Month, join authors Catherine Little, Sunshine Punzalan, and Evelyn Sue Wong for stories and creativity that celebrate Asian voices and experiences.
May is Asian Heritage Month! Join us for storytimes with the authors, filled with picture books that share Asian voices, experiences, and traditions. After the readings, meet the authors and enjoy a hands‑on craft session inspired by the stories. It’s a fun and creative way to learn, make something new, and celebrate together.

Catherine Little - Dragon’s Dilemma
Catherine Little is an educator, consultant, and writer with a love of children's picture books. She especially enjoys reading her stories to families and has shared her work at schools, libraries, and special venues such as the Ontario Science Centre, Art Gallery of Ontario, and Royal Ontario Museum. She lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with her husband and son.
Sunshine Punzalan – Soccer Scaries
Sunshine Punzalan is based in Oakville, Ontario. She wears many hats! She is a mom to twin boys, a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advocate, a Digital Content Creator and a Human Resources Leader. She is always on the go and loves sharing family adventures with her community. Sunshine is also using her voice to educate on DEI to not only help raise her kids, but to equip others to do the same.
Evelyn Sue Wong – Reach for the Sky
Evelyn Sue Wong is a children’s book author who sparks curiosity and inspires change through her books. Growing up in Toronto Canada, she loved flying with her father and earned her pilot’s licence at the age of nineteen. Now living in Singapore with her family, Evelyn hopes to inspire children everywhere to reach for the sky.

Located within the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, Iroquois Ridge Branch is home to a large collection of materials, study spaces, and a Creation Zone. The branch hosts a variety of programs for all ages, with a particular focus on new and emerging technologies, such as virtual reality and Tinker Toys. Parking is free.
