Join the Youth Library Leaders team and help shape how the Oakville Public Library serves teens! Earn volunteer hours while giving back to the community! 14-18yrs
As a Youth Library Leader, you’ll attend monthly meetings to share ideas for library programs, services, and collections, help plan special events like teen carnivals, create review posts for books, movies, video games, and more, and listen to guest speakers who will provide valuable insights into careers and life skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to build leadership skills, collaborate with fellow youth, and make your voice heard in the community.

Interested teens will need to submit a letter of intent by email to oplprograms@oakville.ca
They will be selected for an interview and once accepted, will become a member of the Youth Library Leaders

Located within the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, Iroquois Ridge Branch is home to a large collection of materials, study spaces, and a Creation Zone. The branch hosts a variety of programs for all ages, with a particular focus on new and emerging technologies, such as virtual reality and Tinker Toys. Parking is free.
