Learn how to operate a sewing machine in the creation of a custom project. Machines and materials will be provided. Beginner level. Ages 16+.
Build your sewing skills while creating a drawstring toiletry bag! In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to operate a sewing machine, and explore different techniques in the creation of a custom project.
Each participant will be provided a sewing machine, and eye protection. Base materials will be provided at a cost of $15.00 each. Please note that fabric selection is subject to availability and may differ from the examples shown.
Finished toiletry bags measure 21 cm tall by 14 cm wide (8 1/4" x 5 1/2").

Located within the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, Iroquois Ridge Branch is home to a large collection of materials, study spaces, and a Creation Zone. The branch hosts a variety of programs for all ages, with a particular focus on new and emerging technologies, such as virtual reality and Tinker Toys. Parking is free.
