Celebrate the start of the 2025 Summer Reading Club with a day of travel-themed fun for the whole family. Inspired by this year’s theme, Passport to Reading, each Kick-off Party features a variety of interactive stations designed to spark creativity and imagination. At the branch, children and teens can sign up for the Summer Reading Club and begin their reading journey for a chance to win prizes such as YMCA family day passes, The Works vouchers, and more.
Activities may include a paper airplane challenge, a travel-themed photo booth, a collaborative world map mural, postcard crafting, travel journal creation, a scavenger hunt, and a colouring station.

Located within the Glen Abbey Community Centre in northwest Oakville, Glen Abbey Branch is Oakville Public Library’s busiest location and serves over 350,000 customers per year. As a community and cultural hub in north Oakville, the branch offers several rooms available for booking and hosts a variety of programming for all-ages that inspires creativity. Parking is free.
