The Teen Creator Studio is a dynamic and creative program offered by the library, designed specifically for teens ages 13-17.

Teens will have the chance to explore a variety of creative activities, engage with new technologies, and learn new skills that are inspired by trending ideas on the internet.

Through the program, participants will have access to Creativebug, OPL’s online resource, which offers a wealth of tutorials and inspiration. Teens can take part in a wide range of creative projects, from DIY crafts to digital creations, helping them discover new passions and express themselves in meaningful ways.

Key Features of the Program:

  • Open to All Skill Levels: Whether a teen is a beginner or has experience, everyone is encouraged to participate and learn at their own pace.

  • Hands-On Activities: Teens will work on fun, interactive projects using resources from Creativebug and other online platforms, with an emphasis on self-expression.
  • Technology Integration: The program will incorporate the latest technology, tools, and trends to help teens develop both traditional and digital creative skills.

  • Fun and Engaging: Activities include crafting, digital design, media production, and more, all in a supportive, teen-friendly space.

Teens ages 13-17 interested in exploring new ways to express themselves creatively. No prior experience is required—just a curiosity to learn and create!

Located within White Oaks Secondary School in central Oakville, the White Oaks Branch is home to a large collection of titles, study spaces, and a large lounge area. The branch hosts a variety of programs for all ages, with a particular focus on family programs. Parking is free.
