Join us in celebrating Canadian books, authors, illustrators and publishers. Readers will read nominated titles and vote to determine the award winner! Ages 4-7.
The Forest of Reading is Canada’s largest recreational reading program with more than a quarter of a million readers participating every year! Designed to encourage a love of reading, the Forest of Reading celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators and publishers. In our Blue Spruce Book Club, participants aged 4-7 will read nominated titles, engage in discussion and activities related to the book and at the end of the series, place their vote for the book and author they think should win the award. The Forest of Reading is one of the few award programs in Canada where readers select the winners! OPL is encouraging participants to discover as many of the books as you can in the Blue Spruce category and vote on your favourite with us in April!
