Calling all foodies! Learn how to design your own professional looking cookbook using Blurb. Create it for personal use or self-publish for others to enjoy your tasty treats. Ages 13+.
Blurb is the world's first independent publishing platform that allows users to create, print and publish photo books, trade books, magazine, and ebooks.
In this workshop you'll create a custom cookbook using Bookwright, Blurb's free downloadable design software. During the session we will cover the basic user interface, and discuss best practices for photographing and outlining your recipes. You can then print your cookbook for personal use, or self-publish for others to enjoy your culinary creations.
Prior to this program participants must create a free Blurb account and download Bookwright onto their personal computer. This software is only available on Windows and Mac OSX 10.7+. You will also need to bring a few of your recipes to get started.
This program is part of OPL’s 2021 Summer Reading Challenge program, running from July 1st - August 31st. Check out how to join the challenge, and find other Summer Reading Challenge programs.
