Movie Screening of 'The Public'

To celebrate Ontario Public Library Week, Film.Ca Cinemas and Oakville Public Library are sponsoring a viewing of the 2018 film 'The Public', directed by and starring Emilio Estevez.

Reserve your free ticket today to watch what critics have said is "an earnest and engaging social advocacy drama" about libraries and the communities they serve. The movie was also part of the 2018 TIFF gala presentations.

In lieu of a ticket price, Oakville Public Library is asking for monetary donations at the door, as it is a ‘pay what you can’ event. All donations raised during this screening will go directly to Oakville Public Library, a registered charity. Money raised through fundraising helps expand and enhance the library’s programming, services and collections.

There are two screenings: 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm.  Every person attending must have a ticket.
