Paperback to Hardcover Bookbinding Workshop

Turn your book into a custom hardcover keepsake. Learn bookbinding techniques, materials, and finishing methods to create durable, professional-looking editions. Ages 18+

Discover how to transform your paperback books into a custom cloth-bound hardcover!  In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the materials, techniques, and finishing touches needed to create a professional-looking hardcover edition. Whether you're preserving a beloved novel, upgrading a well-used reference book, or creating a unique gift, you'll leave with the knowledge and confidence to turn your books into completely custom keepsakes.

You will need to bring in your own paperback book, all other supplies will be provided for $6.00 per participant.

Important Note: We are unable to offer refunds for participants who are late or missed their program. As well, if a registered participant has not arrived within 15 minutes of the start program time, their spot may be given to a walk-in participant who can pay the materials fee at the Service Desk.

Need to cancel? Please let us know. 

 If you have to cancel your spot for any reason, you can do so by: 

 1.    Logging into MyEvents using your library card.  If you did not register with your library card, you will need the reference number you received in your confirmation email. 

 2.    Phone your local branch, or email oplreference@oakville.ca. Please have ready the program title, program date, and names of registered individuals.
