A playful trip to the vet—at the library! Bring your favourite stuffed animal to the library for a hands-on “hospital” experience in partnership with the Humane Society of Oakville, Milton & Halton.
The Stuffed Animal Hospital is a hands-on, hour-long experience for children ages 5–8 and their favourite plush patients! Young animal lovers will check in their stuffed friend, give them a wellness exam, practice dental care, and patch up any boo-boos—just like a real veterinarian. Along the way, children will engage in guided activities that teach them about caring for pets and encourage kindness toward animals.

This program is unregistered. Capacity is limited. Tickets will be distributed 15min in advance of program start.
Caregivers must remain onsite during the program.
Located within the Glen Abbey Community Centre in northwest Oakville, Glen Abbey Branch is Oakville Public Library’s busiest location and serves over 350,000 customers per year. As a community and cultural hub in north Oakville, the branch offers several rooms available for booking and hosts a variety of programming for all-ages that inspires creativity. Parking is free.
