Join your fellow book lovers for games, crafts, and activities that explore everything we love about reading and books! Ages 5-8

This literacy-focused program invites school-age children to explore the exciting world of First Chapter Books—those perfect early reads that spark imagination and build confidence. Each session features a new book, series, or character, brought to life through stories, crafts, games, and interactive activities. Whether we're solving mysteries, exploring magical lands, or meeting unforgettable heroes, every week is a fresh adventure.No two sessions are the same, so come ready to read, play, and discover something new!

This program is ticketed. Tickets are required, limited, and vary by branch. Tickets will be distributed 15min prior to program start.

About the branch

Located in north Oakville near the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, the Sixteen Mile Branch features a flexible program space used for both town and library programming. Parking is free.
