Join us for a creative adventure into game design with Scratch, the world's most beginner-friendly visual programming platform. Workshop is for those with little to no prior coding experience. 8-12+
You will learn the fundamentals of Scratch, including sprites, blocks, and event-driven programming. Be the end of the session, you will apply your new skills to create your own playable game, giving you a taste of what you can achieve with coding. This workshop is a perfect starting point for young creators eager to bring their ideas to life!
This workshop is being led by volunteers from STEM from Scratch, a high school student-led organization providing STEM-related opportunities to students across Halton.

Located within the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, Iroquois Ridge Branch is home to a large collection of materials, study spaces, and a Creation Zone. The branch hosts a variety of programs for all ages, with a particular focus on new and emerging technologies, such as virtual reality and Tinker Toys. Parking is free.
